Example love ceremony instructions: In preparation for the Love Letter Ceremony, the bride and the groom each prepare a love letter which may include reasons explaining their desire to marry one another. The set includes suggestions and practice sheets to help guide the writing process. The completed letters and contents should not be shared between each other.
On the wedding day, the couple perform the love letter ceremony. Their sealed letters, along with a bottle of wine, two wine goblets and other memorabilia they have selected, are ceremonially locked into their keepsake box (Wine not included in set).
The officiant of the wedding will share with all in attendance the only two circumstances when the couple will unlock and reveal the contents to one another. Circumstance #1 is on the occasion of the significant wedding anniversary or milestone in their marriage the couple has chosen to celebrate in this way. Circumstance #2 is if time passes and serious doubts about their relationship causes the marriage to falter. Together, they should unlock the box, partake in the wine, read the loving words and be reminded of their job today and the reasons they decided to marry and commit to be together .
Following the officiants remarks, the couple present their sealed love letters. These letters are placed in the stationery pouch provided in the interior of the keepsake box along with the selected wine bottle, goblets and other mementos. Once the contents are in place, the box is locked with the key supplied with this set.
Following the wedding, the decorative locked box should be placed in a visible location in the couple's home. It should serve as a constant reminder of the love they share for one another. The all important key should be kept in a safe place to ensure the box can be unlocked and the contents enjoyed at the agreed upon time.
