Can I pick up my order in London, ON instead of having it shipped?
  You are welcome to pick up your order from our store in London, Ontario.  Note that most items have to be specially ordered in and can take a few days/weeks to process (processing times are outlined on each product page).  When your order is ready for you to pick up, we will call or e-mail you.  You can view our store address and business hours by clicking here.
Do you offer free shipping?
  LIMITED TIME PROMOTION - We offer free shipping on online orders with a subtotal over $250 to most provinces. This promotion will automatically apply to your shopping cart when you check out for qualifying orders. Some provinces are excluded from this promotion including: Newfoundland, NWT, Yukon and Nunavut. This free shipping promotion cannot be combined with any other coupons or promotions. We reserve the right to revoke this promotion at any time.
How is my parcel shipped?
  We offer shipping via Canada Post. These shipping rates are based on the weight of your parcel and can be found at check out.  Your parcels are insured through the courier company and come with a tracking number. Sometimes we will have our suppliers drop ship your order directly to you from their warehouse.  In this case, your order would be shipped via Fedex, Purolator or UPS.  Please place your order in as much advanced as possible.  We are not liable for any delays that arise with the courier company, including but not limited to courier delivery errors, delays, weather, terrorism, acts of God or union activity.

How long does it take to process and then ship my order?
 

To figure out how long it will take for your order to arrive, you will first need to examine the processing time and then figure out the shipping time. Processing time refers to the time it takes for us to order your item(s) in from our suppliers and are different for every product and are outlined on each product page. Once your order is shipped from our store, the shipping time will depend on your chosen shipping method and how far away you live from our location in London, Ontario (generally the further away you are, and the more remote your shipping address is, the longer it will take for your parcel to be delivered).  For more information on shipping services and turnaround times, visit the Canada Post website by clicking here. Note that your parcel will include insurance for lost and damage claims.  We also highly recommend that you chose the signature option upon check out.


Due to high temperatures during the summer months, there will be no guarantee on any candles, chocolates or candies shipped by regular ground. If you order these items between May 1st and September 30th, we recommend that you upgrade from regular ground shipping to ensure that your order will arrive quickly during these hot months.

I received my order and it is damaged or defective. What can I do?
 

      Damages: While we do our best to pack and inspect your parcels as best as we can, shipping damages are rare but inevitable. You must report any damages within 7 days of the delivery date of your parcel.  You will need to send us an electronic photo of the damaged goods to customerservice@theweddingshoppe.ca along with your order confirmation number.  Note that it is your responsibility to place your order in enough advance to cover all contingencies, including allowing us enough time to process a replacement order.  We are not responsible for extra charges that may need to apply to upgrade a shipping option from regular post to get a replacement order to you before your event date.  If there is not enough time to get a replacement, you will receive a store credit (no refunds will be issued).  Hang onto all original packaging and goods for 30 days as we may request that you send the defective item back to us at our expense.  A note about wedding favours: Due to the nature of the mass manufacturing of wedding favours, we cannot guarantee that every single favour will look identical or will be of the same quality; there may be variations among the favours and this is normal for the industry.  You are welcome to return any favours you are unhappy with in accordance with our return policy.

What if I am not at home to accept my parcel?
  When you check out, you have the option to indicate whether you want a signature delivery.  If you check this box, the courier will attempt a delivery and if no one is home, they will try again the next business day or leave a delivery slip and you can pick-up your order at the nearest postal outlet.   If you do not check off the signature delivery when you check out, the courier may leave the parcel on your door step or in your mail box at their discretion.  We highly recommend that you choose the "signature required" option.  There is no extra charge for this option.  Please place your order in as much advanced as possible. We are not liable for any delays that arise with the courier company, including but not limited to courier delivery errors, delays, weather, terrorism, acts of God or union activity.
What is the parcel signature option?
  When you check out, you have the option to indicate whether you want a signature delivery at no extra charge to you.  If you check this box, the courier will attempt a delivery and if no one is home, they will try again the next business day or leave a delivery slip and you can pick-up your order at the nearest postal outlet or courier depot.   If you do not check off the signature delivery when you check out, the courier may leave the parcel on your door step or in your mail box at their discretion.  We highly recommend that you choose the "signature required" option. There is no extra charge for this option. Please place your order in as much advanced as possible. We are not liable for any delays that arise with the courier company, including but not limited to courier delivery errors, delays, weather, terrorism, acts of God or union activity.

Do you ship internationally outside of Canada?
  Yes we do! Simply check out using our online shopping cart and enter in your shipping address to get a live shipping rate. We recommend that you place an international order at least 3 months in advance of your event date. Note that international orders may be subject to brokerage and duty fees, which are the sole responsibility of the customer upon delivery.  Note that Canda Post does NOT guarantee on time delivery for international parcels.  We are not liable for any delays that arise with the courier company, including but not limited to courier delivery errors, delays, weather, terrorism, acts of God or union activity.
What is the return policy?

Most items marked as "in stock" can be returned for an exchange or refund within 15 days of receipt of the item(s).  Most items marked as "Special Order" can be returned for exchange or refund within 15 days of receipt of the item(s) and a re-stocking fee of 15% will apply to the item(s) being returned with a minimum re-stocking fee of $3.00.  All shipping costs are non-refundable.  Items must be returned in their original packaging, unopened and in sell-able condition. Customers will be responsible for the shipping costs associated with sending the item(s) back to us.  Products that are lost or damaged during shipping back to us will not be refunded. 

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned for exchange or refund:

-All special order items with any personalization (including favors that come with custom detached labels).
-All monogram cake toppers
-All edible products
-All sale products
-All jewellery sets that have pierced earrings
     -All items that have been opened or taken out of their original packaging (including plastic wrap) are final sale.  We reserve the right to not accept an item for return that we deem as not in sell-able condition.

A note about wedding favours: Due to the nature of the mass manufacturing of wedding favours, we cannot guarantee that every single favour will look identical or will be of the same quality; there may be variations among the favours and this is normal.
 
      We will not be liable for any lost packages or packages that arrive late due to shipping problems that arise with our couriers or the Canada Postal system, war, terrorist attacks or "Acts of God" such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, snow storms etc.    
 
      How do I return a product?
    
      Please e-mail or call us and let us know your order number and what you would like to return and we will provide you with a return authorization number and return instructions.  When we receive the returned item(s), we will inspect them for eligibility for return and process your refund electronically within a two week period. Items without a R/A number will NOT be refunded. Products that are lost or damaged during shipping back to us will not be refunded.

      How long before I receive my refund?
We will issue a credit within two weeks when you have cancelled an order, made changes to your order or sent your order back to us for a refund.  However, the credit may take several additional days to show up on your account depending on your credit card institution and their credit policies.
