All you have to do is set light to the cardboard fuel cell attached to the lantern, wait for it to fill up with hot air, make your wish and gaze as the Wish Lantern floats up to the skies. The fuel cell well continue to burn for about 8-10 minutes, as the hot air causes the lantern to keep rising until they reach heights of 3,000 feet high and can reach heights of 5,000 feet in cold environments.

Sold individually, our Wish Lanterns are 100% biodegradable, come in white only and stand 44 In Tall * 24 In wide at the top* 16 In wide at the bottom. After release and flight, the Wish Lantern will self-extinguish and float gently to the ground, where the rice paper will biodegrade. The Lanterns are all hand made. They are composed of rice paper, a fuel
cell, a bamboo ring (wire free) and a non-flammable string to support
the fuel cell. The Rice paper and the string are flame retardant for

arrive, you will first need to examine the processing
time and then figure out the shipping
time . Processing time refers to the time it takes for us to order your
item(s) in from our suppliers and are different for every product and are
outlined on each product page. Once your order is
shipped from our store, the shipping time will depend on your chosen shipping
method and how far away you live from our location in London, Ontario
(generally the further away you are, and the more remote your shipping address

Due to high temperatures during the
summer months, there will be no guarantee on any candles, chocolates or candies
shipped by regular ground. If you order these items between May 1st and
September 30th, we recommend that you upgrade from regular ground
shipping to ensure that your order will arrive quickly during these hot months.
Considerations when launching Wish Lanterns
Always keep water or fire extinguishers nearby
Children must not be left unattended with the Wish Lanterns.
Ensure that the wind is not stronger than 5 mph.
Do not around dry crops or if a burn ban is in effect in your county
Ensure that trees or buildings are not in the flight path.
Do not release within five miles of an airport. How to launch a Wish Lantern
Check wind direction.
Ensure there are no obstacles in the way of the intended balloon flight.
Ensure Wish Lantern is fully open and corners are not creased.
Light the corners of the fuel.
Hold the Wish Lantern upright and after a few seconds the Wish Lantern will feel lighter and will gradually rise.
Do not attempt to throw it up into the air, just guide it and let it go by itself.
Stand back and watch it float up into the sky.
